Within the next couple of weeks I will be tweaking the Forums to provide us a liitle better security and more redundacy in case of wipes. As always I suggest if there is anything that you find important save a copy of it for your own personal protection.
I will keep everyone updated on any changes being made and if there is anything that might cause some people to bitch I'll talk to T first. |

Recently we have been swamped with new members joining our site. Either the new members are bots that can somehow overcome the visual confirmation part of registering or thay are people that are signing up and spamming the forum. I've set the sign-up for admin verification to try and cut down on the crap but then my e-mail gets flooded with user request, which I normally delete. Now the problem comes when we have someone that really wants to join. If you know someone that wants to join let me know and we will activate them. Once they are active they need to post as soon as possible to ensure I don't delete their account.
I'm still trying to find a better way to do this, but until people quit being assholes we will have to do it this way. Any ideas let me know!

I just got done banning a huge amount of e-mail address domains that are known spam senders and will continue to update. Any problems let me know! |
